حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَحِمَ ال
لَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ قَالُوا وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ فَقَالَ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibn Numayr, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'May Allah have mercy on those who shave [their heads].' They said: 'And those who shorten their hair, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'May Allah have mercy on those who shave.' On the fourth [time] he said: 'And those who shorten.'
