حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِ

ي لَبِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهَا صَلَاةُ الْعِشَاءِ فَلَا يَغْلِبَنَّكُمْ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَى أَسْمَاءِ صَلَاتِكُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ يُعْتِمُونَ عَنْ الْإِبِلِ

English Translation

Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from Abdullah ibn Abi Labid, from Abu Salamah, from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is a prayer of defiance [against Shaytan]' — meaning the Maghrib prayer. He said: 'Pray it before the stars cluster together.'
