حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَب
ْدِ رَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ بَايَعَ إِمَامًا فَأَعْطَاهُ صَفْقَةَ يَدِهِ وَثَمَرَةَ قَلْبِهِ فَلْيُطِعْهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فَإِنْ جَاءَ آخَرُ يُنَازِعُهُ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَ الْآخَرِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu Mu'awiya, from al-A'mash, from Zayd ibn Wahb, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abd Rabb al-Ka'ba — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever gives his pledge to a leader — giving him his hand and the sincerity of his heart — let him obey him as best he can. If someone comes to dispute with him, strike the neck of [that one].'"'
