Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Isma'il, from Yunus, from al-Hasan — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "How will you be when you remain among the dregs [huthalah] of the people?" I said: "O Messenger of Allah, how will that be?" He said: "When their covenants and trusts have been corrupted and they have become like this" — and he interlaced his fingers [indicating confusion and entanglement]. Hold firmly to what you know. Beware of what you disapprove of. Occupy yourself with your own affairs and leave the affairs of the common folk."'
