‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏يُونُسُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الْحَنَفِيُّ يَمَامِيٌّ ‏ ‏سَمِعْتُ ‏ ‏عِكْرِمَةَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيَّ ‏ ‏يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ‏ ‏ابْنَ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏يَقُولُ ‏ ‏سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يَقُولُ ‏ ‏مَنْ تَعَظَّمَ فِي نَفْسِهِ أَوْ اخْتَالَ فِي مِشْيَتِهِ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yahya ibn Ishaq, from Yunus ibn al-Qasim al-Hanafi, from 'Ikrima ibn Khalid al-Makhzumi — that he said: 'I heard Ibn 'Umar say: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever considers himself great [in his own eyes] or walks with arrogance will meet Allah while He is angry with him.'"'
