حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّه

ِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ النَّذْرَ لَا يُقَدِّمُ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُؤَخِّرُهُ وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِالنَّذْرِ مِنْ الْبَخِيلِ

English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yunus, from Fulayyh, from Sa'id ibn al-Harith — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A vow [al-nadhr] does not advance anything or delay it — it only extracts [charitable deeds] from the miser.'
