English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Harun, from 'Abdullah ibn Wahb, from Usama ibn Zayd, from Nafi' — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to invoke [Allah's curse] upon specific men from among the mushrikun — naming them by name — until Allah revealed: "It is not for you to make a decision — whether He should turn in mercy toward them or punish them, for they are wrongdoers" [3:128]. So he ceased [doing so].'
