English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — [continuation of the preceding chain] — that he said: 'And I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Indeed Allah (عز وجل) created His creation in darkness, then He cast upon them from His light on that day. Whoever was touched by His light was guided, and whoever it missed was misled. That is why I say: the Pen has dried upon the knowledge of Allah (عز وجل) [i.e., the decree is final and immutable]."'
