Hadith #146

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ حَدَّثَ
نِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ ذَكَرَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَحِلُّ سَلَفٌ وَبَيْعٌ وَلَا شَرْطَانِ فِي بَيْعٍ وَلَا رِبْحُ مَا لَمْ يُضْمَنْ وَلَا بَيْعُ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Isma'il ibn Ibrahim, from Ayyub, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A loan combined with a sale is not lawful, nor are two conditions in a single sale, nor is profit from what is not yet secured [by the buyer], nor selling what you do not possess.'
