حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رَاشِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى أَنَّ عَقْلَ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابَيْنِ نِصْفُ عَقْلِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَهُمْ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu al-Nadr and 'Abd al-Samad, from Muhammad ibn Rashid, from Sulayman, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that the Prophet ﷺ ruled that the blood money ['aql] of the People of the Two Books [Jews and Christians] is half the blood money of the Muslims.
