حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا عَامِرٌ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ عَمْرِو
بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نَذْرَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ وَلَا عِتْقَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ وَلَا طَلَاقَ لَهُ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ وَلَا يَمِينَ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hushaym, from 'Amir al-Ahwal, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no valid vow for a son of Adam in what he does not own, no valid emancipation in what he does not own, no valid divorce in what he does not own, and no valid oath in what he does not own.'
