حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو
Body (Matn)
بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Khalifa ibn Khayyat, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A believer is not to be killed [in retaliation] for [killing] a disbeliever, nor is a person under a covenant [to be killed] during his covenant period.'
