English Translation

Nasr ibn Bab narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ disputing with his father. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, this man has taken my wealth!' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'You and your wealth belong to your father. Indeed the best of what you eat is from your own earning, and the wealth of your children is from your earning.'
