English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad ibn Fudayl, from Hajjaj, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Any slave [mukatab] who has entered a contract of manumission for one hundred uqiyyas and pays it all except ten uqiyyas — he is still a slave [not yet free].'
