حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ مُؤَذِّنًا فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ ثُمَّ صَلُّوا عَلَيَّ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ صَلَاةً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ بِهَا عَشْرًا ثُمَّ سَلُوا لِي الْوَسِيلَةَ فَإِنَّهَا مَنْزِلَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَا تَنْبَغِي إِلَّا لِعَبْدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِ اللَّهِ وَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَكُونَ أَنَا هُوَ فَمَنْ سَأَلَ لِي الْوَسِيلَةَ حَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّفَاعَةُ
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, from Haywa, from Ka'b ibn 'Alqama, who heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr, who heard 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As say — that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'When you hear the muadhdhin, say what he says — then send blessings upon me, for whoever sends one blessing on me, Allah will send ten blessings upon him. Then ask Allah to grant me al-Wasila — for it is a station in Paradise fitting only one of Allah's servants, and I hope to be that one. Whoever asks al-Wasila for me, intercession will be permitted for him on the Day of Resurrection.'
