حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ هِلَالٍ الْهَجَرِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو حَدِّثْنِي حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ر
َسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا خَطَأٌ إِنَّمَا هُوَ الْحَكَمُ عَنْ سَيْفٍ عَنْ رُشَيْدٍ الْهَجَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Aswad ibn 'Amir, from Abu Isra'il, from al-Hakam, from Hilal al-Hajari — who said: 'I said to 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr: "Narrate to me a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'The Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe, and the muhajir is one who abandons what Allah has forbidden.'"' Abu 'Abd al-Rahman ['Abdullah ibn Ahmad] said: 'This chain is in error — it should be: al-Hakam, from Sayf, from Rushayd al-Hajari, from his father.'
