English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Rawh, from Thawr ibn Yazid, from 'Uthman al-Shami, who heard Abu al-Ash'ath al-San'ani, from Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafi — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Whoever washes [another, or his own head] and performs ghusl [on Friday], goes early and attends from the very beginning [of the sermon], draws close and sits near [the imam], listens attentively and remains quiet — for every step he takes [to the mosque] he will have the reward of a full year of standing in prayer [qiyam] and fasting.'
