English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu Bakr al-Hanafi, from 'Abd al-Hamid ibn Ja'far, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not pluck out grey hairs — for it is the light of the Muslim. Whoever grows a grey hair in [the state of] Islam — Allah writes for him a good deed by it, expiates a sin by it, and raises him one rank by it.'
