English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Samad, from Hammam, from Qatada, from Abu Ayyub — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The time of Dhuhr is when the sun declines [past noon] and the shadow of a man equals his height — as long as 'Asr has not yet entered. The time of 'Asr is as long as the sun has not yet turned yellow. The time of Maghrib prayer is as long as the twilight [al-shafaq] has not yet disappeared. The time of 'Isha' prayer is until the middle of the night. And the time of Fajr prayer is from when dawn breaks until the sun rises — but when the sun rises, refrain from prayer, for it rises between the two horns of Shaytan.'
