حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ
صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَهُمْ وَهُوَ مُسْنِدٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ تَكَافَأُ دِمَاؤُهُمْ يَسْعَى بِذِمَّتِهِمْ أَدْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يَدٌ عَلَى مَنْ سِوَاهُمْ أَلَا لَا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Samad, from Khalifa, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a sermon while leaning his back against the Ka'ba, and said: 'No prayer after 'Asr until the sun sets, and no prayer after Fajr prayer until the sun rises. The blood values of the believers are equal; the lowest of them may extend their protection on behalf of all of them; and they are one hand against whoever is other than them. Know: a believer is not to be killed [in retaliation] for [killing] a disbeliever, nor is a person under a covenant [to be killed] during his covenant period.'
