English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Surayj, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Mu'ammal, from Ibn Abi Mulayka — that he wore a gold ring. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at it as though he disliked it — so he [Abdullah] threw it away. Then he wore an iron ring. He [the Prophet ﷺ] said: 'This is worse — worse.' So he threw it away. Then he wore a silver ring and he [the Prophet ﷺ] remained silent about it.
