‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏كَانَ ‏ ‏لَا يُصَافِحُ النِّسَاءَ فِي الْبَيْعَةِ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Attab, from 'Abdullah [ibn al-Mubarak], from Usama ibn Zayd, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not shake hands with women during the pledge of allegiance [bay'a].
