حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا رَجَاءٌ أَبُو يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا مُسَافِعُ بْنُ شَيْبَةَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ فَأَنْشُدُ بِاللَّهِ ثَلَاثًا وَوَضَعَ إِصْبَعَهُ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ لَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الرُّكْنَ وَالْمَقَامَ يَاقُوتَتَانِ مِنْ يَاقُوتِ الْجَنَّةِ طَمَسَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ نُورَهُمَا وَلَوْلَا أَنَّ اللَّهَ طَمَسَ نُورَهُمَا لَأَضَاءَتَا مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Raja' Abu Yahya, from Musafi' ibn Shayba — that he heard 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr say — [swearing] by Allah three times, with his fingers placed in his ears: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The [Black] Corner [al-Rukn] and the Maqam [Ibrahim] are two rubies from the rubies of Paradise. Allah (عز وجل) extinguished their light. Were it not that Allah extinguished their light, they would illuminate what is between the east and the west."'
