English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yunus ibn Muhammad, from Raja' ibn Yahya, from Musafi' ibn Shayba — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr, with his fingers inserted in his ears, said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The [Black] Stone [al-Hajar] and the Maqam [Ibrahim] are two rubies from the rubies of Paradise. Allah extinguished their light. Were it not for that, they would illuminate what is between heaven and earth — or what is between the east and the west."' [Yunus named the transmitter Raja' ibn Yahya, and 'Affan named him Raja' Abu Yahya — the correct form is Abu Yahya, as stated by 'Affan and Hudba ibn Khalid. 'Abdullah ibn Ahmad adds: this hadith was also narrated to us via Hudba ibn Khalid, from Raja' ibn Subayh Abu Yahya al-Harashi — with the same text; and via al-Qawariri 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Umar, from Yazid ibn Zuray', from Raja' Abu Yahya — likewise.]
