حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ وَ
ذَكَرَ عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَلَدِ الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ أَنَّهُ يَرِثُ أُمَّهُ وَتَرِثُهُ أُمُّهُ وَمَنْ قَفَاهَا بِهِ جُلِدَ ثَمَانِينَ وَمَنْ دَعَاهُ وَلَدَ زِنًا جُلِدَ ثَمَانِينَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ya'qub, from his father, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled concerning the child of a couple who performed mutual imprecation [li'an]: he inherits from his mother and she inherits from him. Whoever slanders her by [attributing the child's lineage] to her is flogged eighty lashes, and whoever calls him a child of fornication is flogged eighty lashes.
