حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِن
َّ مِنْ أَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ أَنْ يَلْعَنَ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَكَيْفَ يَلْعَنُ الرَّجُلُ أَبَوَيْهِ قَالَ يَسُبُّ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ فَيَسُبُّ أَبَاهُ وَيَسُبُّ الرَّجُلُ أُمَّهُ فَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ya'qub, from his father, from Humayd ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, who heard 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr say — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Among the gravest of the grave sins is for a man to curse his own parents.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how does a man curse his own parents?' He said: 'He reviles another man, so [that man] reviles his father; and [he] reviles another man's mother, so [that man] reviles his mother.'
