حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ يَعْنِي الْأَشْيَبَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا دَرَّاجٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ رَ
سُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ { لَهُمْ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا } قَالَ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يُبَشَّرُهَا الْمُؤْمِنُ هِيَ جُزْءٌ مِنْ تِسْعَةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ النُّبُوَّةِ فَمَنْ رَأَى ذَلِكَ فَلْيُخْبِرْ بِهَا وَمَنْ رَأَى سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ لِيُحْزِنَهُ فَلْيَنْفُثْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَلْيَسْكُتْ وَلَا يُخْبِرْ بِهَا أَحَدًا

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hasan [al-Ashyab], from Ibn Lahi'a, from Darraj, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr — from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding the verse: {For them is good news in the life of this world} [10:64] — he said: 'It is the righteous dream that the believer is given as glad tidings — it is one part out of forty-nine parts of prophethood. Whoever sees such [a dream], let him tell it. But whoever sees other than that — it is from Shaytan, to grieve him — so let him spit to his left three times and remain silent, and not tell anyone about it.'
