English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Hammad ibn Salama, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from his father — that a man entered prayer and said: 'Al-hamdu lillah, wa subhanallah [Praise be to Allah, and Glory be to Allah].' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Who said it?' The man said: 'I did.' He said: 'I saw the angels passing it between themselves.'
