حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
تَخَلَّفَ عَنَّا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفْرَةٍ سَافَرْنَاهَا قَالَ وَأَدْرَكَنَا وَقَدْ أَرْهَقَتْنَا الصَّلَاةُ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ وَنَحْنُ نَتَوَضَّأُ فَجَعَلْنَا نَمْسَحُ عَلَى أَرْجُلِنَا فَنَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنْ النَّارِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Abu 'Awana, from Abu Bishr, from Yusuf ibn Mahak — from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell behind us on a journey we had undertaken. He caught up with us when the 'Asr prayer had become pressing and we were performing wudu — and we were wiping over our feet [instead of washing them]. He called out at the top of his voice — two or three times: 'Woe to the heels from the Fire!'
