English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Samad and 'Affan, from Hammad, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from his father — that a man came [to the Prophet ﷺ] and said: 'O Allah, forgive me and Muhammad, and do not let anyone share in Your mercy with us.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'You have deprived yourself of something vast — for Allah's mercy is wide enough to encompass all of creation.'
