حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ

بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ حَفِظْنَاهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَمَّنَ الْقَارِئُ فَأَمِّنُوا فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تُؤَمِّنُ فَمَنْ وَافَقَ تَأْمِينُهُ تَأْمِينَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan ibn 'Uyayna, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id — traced to the Prophet ﷺ: 'When the reciter [imam] says Amin, say Amin — for indeed the angels say Amin. Whoever's Amin coincides with the Amin of the angels, his past sins are forgiven.'
