English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab — that the Prophet ﷺ forbade: a city-dweller selling on behalf of a Bedouin [hadir li-bad]; al-najash [artificially driving up bids at auction]; a man making a marriage proposal while his brother's [already accepted] proposal is pending; a man making a sale while his brother's [already agreed] sale is pending; and [he forbade] a woman from asking for the divorce of her co-wife ['sister'] in order to empty out what is in her dish [i.e., to take her husband's provision for herself]. Let her marry [without doing that] — for her provision is upon Allah.
