English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id — [traced to the Prophet ﷺ]: 'They [people] say al-karm [the grapevine] — but al-karm [true nobility/generosity] is only the heart of the believer.' [the Prophet ﷺ disliked elevating the grapevine — associated with wine — with a name meaning nobility.]
