Hadith #132
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا هَلَكَ كِسْرَى فَلَا كِسْرَى بَعْدَهُ وَإِذَا هَلَكَ قَيْصَرُ فَلَا قَيْصَرَ بَعْدَهُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَتُنْفَقَنَّ كُنُوزُهُمَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ: 'When Kisra (Chosroes) perishes, there will be no Kisra after him. And when Caesar perishes, there will be no Caesar after him. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, their treasures will be spent in the cause of Allah.'
