English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — that the Prophet ﷺ said that Allah (عز وجل) says: 'A vow does not bring the son of Adam anything that I have not already decreed for him. But it is something through which I extract [generosity] from the miser — he gives Me [through the vow] what he would not give Me [out of mere] stinginess.'
