Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — traced to the Prophet ﷺ: 'If one of you is invited to food while he is fasting, let him say: "I am fasting."' [Ahmad said: We did not call him by the kunya Abu al-Zinad — we used to call him Abu 'Abd al-Rahman.]
