حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ جَاءَ الطُّفَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدَّوْسِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ دَوْسًا قَدْ عَصَتْ وَأ
َبَتْ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ هَلَكُوا فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَأْتِ بِهِمْ اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَأْتِ بِهِمْ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — that Abu Hurayra said: 'Al-Tufayl ibn 'Amr al-Dawsi came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "Indeed the tribe of Daws has disobeyed and refused [Islam]. Call down Allah's wrath upon them." the Messenger of Allah ﷺ faced the qibla, raised his hands — and the people said [among themselves]: "They are doomed!" — Then he said: "O Allah, guide Daws and bring them [to Islam]! O Allah, guide Daws and bring them!"'
