حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ وَلَكِنْ الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from 'Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj — traced to the Prophet ﷺ: 'True wealth [al-ghina] is not from having abundant worldly goods [al-'arad]. Rather, true wealth is the richness [contentment] of the soul [ghina al-nafs].'
