قَالَ قرئَ عَلَى سُفْيَانَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ فَإِنَّهُ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — [read to Sufyan and confirmed] from the Prophet ﷺ — and I heard Sufyan transmitting it: 'Beware of suspicion [al-zann] — for it is the most deceitful [akdhab] of speech.'
