English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — traced to the Prophet ﷺ: 'Were it not that I fear burdening my believing community, I would not have stayed behind from any raiding party [sariyya] — for I have nothing to mount them on, nor would they [willingly] stay behind from me.'
