حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَعِيذُ مِنْ هَ
ؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثِ دَرَكِ الشَّقَاءِ وَشَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ وَسُوءِ الْقَضَاءِ أَوْ جَهْدِ الْقَضَاءِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ زِدْتُ أَنَا وَاحِدَةً لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّتُهُنَّ هِيَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Sumayy, from Abu Salih — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek refuge from these three: from darak al-shaqa' [being overtaken by wretchedness], from shamata al-a'da' [the gloating of enemies], and from su' al-qada' — or: jahd al-qada' [a harsh/evil decree or verdict]. Sufyan said: 'I added one of them myself — and I do not know which of them it was [i.e., I am uncertain whether my addition was one of the phrases above].'
