قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى سُفْيَانَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا سَالَمْنَاهُنَّ مُنْذُ حَارَبْنَاهُنَّ يَعْنِي الْحَيَّاتِ
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan [read to him from Ibn 'Ajlan, from Bukayr ibn 'Abdillah, from 'Ajlan] — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'We have never been at peace with them since we declared war on them' — meaning snakes [al-hayyat].
