Arabic Text
قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى سُفْيَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ رَجُلًا قَامَ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ
قَالَ سُفْيَانُ لَا تَرُشُّ فِي وَجْهِهِ تَمْسَحُهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan [read to him from Ibn 'Ajlan, from Sa'id] — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'May Allah have mercy on a man who rises [for prayer] at night' — Sufyan said [citing the fuller wording heard from him]: '...and does not splash water in her [his wife's] face, but wipes it [gently to wake her].'
