English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Yahya, from Sa'id ibn Yassar — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'I was commanded [to emigrate] to a town that devours other towns — they call it Yathrib, but it is al-Madinah. It purges people the way a bellows [al-kir] purges the dross of iron.'
