حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ
أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِالسِّوَاكِ مَعَ الْوُضُوءِ وَلَأَخَّرْتُ الْعِشَاءَ إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya, from 'Ubaydillah, from Ibn Abi Sa'id — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Were it not that I fear burdening my community, I would have commanded them to use the siwak with every wudu, and I would have delayed the 'Isha prayer until a third of the night — or half of the night.'
