English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya, from Ibn 'Ajlan, from Sa'id — that a man asked: 'How much [water] is sufficient to wash my head for ghusl from janaba [major ritual impurity]?' He said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would pour [water] with his hand over his head three times.' The man said: 'But my hair is thick.' He [Abu Hurayra] said: 'The hair of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was more [abundant] and more beautiful [than yours].'
