Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِ
يدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا ضَرَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَجَنَّبْ الْوَجْهَ وَلَا تَقُلْ قَبَّحَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَكَ وَوَجْهَ مَنْ أَشْبَهَ وَجْهَكَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى خَلَقَ آدَمَ عَلَى صُورَتِهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya, from Ibn 'Ajlan, from Sa'id — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you strikes [someone], let him avoid the face. And do not say: "May Allah disfigure your face and the faces of those who resemble you!" — for Allah (تعالى) created Adam in His image [sura].'
