حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ قَالَ وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ عَنْ أَ
بِي صَالِحٍ وَأَبِي رَزِينٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَرْفَعُهُ ثَلَاثًا حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Abu Mu'awiya, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you wakes up at night, do not plunge his hand into the vessel until he washes it three times — for he does not know where his hand spent the night.' Waki' also narrated it — via Abu Salih and Abu Razin from Abu Hurayra, raising it [marfu'] — with the wording 'three times.' And via Mu'awiya ibn 'Amr → Za'ida → al-A'mash → Abu Salih → Abu Hurayra, from the Prophet ﷺ: 'once or twice.'
