حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَن

ْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلَاثٍ قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ فَلَا أَدَعُهُنَّ حَتَّى أَمُوتَ بِالْوِتْرِ قَبْلَ النَّوْمِ وَصِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَالْغُسْلِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Hushaym and Isma'il ibn Ibrahim, from Yunus, from al-Hasan — that Abu Hurayra said: 'My close friend [khalili — the Prophet ﷺ] advised me with three things' — Hushaym [adds]: 'which I will never abandon until I die: witr prayer before sleeping, fasting three days from every month, and bathing [ghusl] on Friday.'
