حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ جَمِي

Body (Matn)

عًا عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَإِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Yazid [ibn Harun], from Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from Abu al-Walid and 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa'd — both — from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'The intensity of heat is from the breath [fayh — exhalation/steam] of Jahannam. So when the heat is intense, delay the prayer until it cools [ibridū].'
